Travel Time

  • All hourly rates are plus the industry standard one-hour travel time.

  •  We charge from the time we arrive at the pick-up location until the time we finish at the drop off location plus the 1 hour travel time.

  •  All local moves have a one-hour travel time.

  •  Long distance moves will have a travel time added based on the kilometers traveled.

How We Charge

We will charge the hourly rate from the time we arrive until the time we finish offloading. In 15 minute increments after the minimum hour or hours have lapsed plus one hour travel time (travel time is charged at the same hourly rate based on truck size and # of movers).

We will charge the hourly rate for the load up time (start to finish) plus the offload time (Start to finish) in 15 minute increments after the minimum hours have lapsed. Plus a travel charge based on distance to and from the destination.

Payments

We accept Debit or Credit (Visa/Mastercard).

Moving Estimates

Below are some estimated averages for how long your move should take. We are well equipped to move you as safely and efficiently as possible.

There are many factors that can determine the length of your move. Examples include:

  • Is your apartment at the end of the hall or next to the elevator

  • How close can we get the truck to the front door

  • Do we have to travel through the parking garage to access the truck?

  • How well packed up you are.

  • The time it takes to disassemble and reassemble furniture.

  • Is there a pathway to your townhome?

Always remember the better you are packed up the faster it will go. Anything that fits in a box should be in a box. Even plants, pictures and your Ming vase.

Relocation

The relocation of over-sized, overweight, or high-risk items such as pianos, large-screen televisions, and large aquariums will usually be subject to surcharges, especially where stairs are involved. Surcharges will also apply in  cases where entrance ways  and stairwells are too small to allow passage and furniture must be hoisted up the outside  of the building to upper levels. These surcharges are to cover the increased risks on our insurance and on our employees.

Public Holidays

There is a 100% surcharge for moving on public holidays (New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day).

Overnights

Sometimes the contents of the home must be stored in the truck overnight. This can occur when the closing on a new home is delayed or often in long distance relocation where the crew loads the truck one day and can’t unload at the new location until the  following day. In such cases, an overnight storage fee of $100 or one hour at the contracted rate (whichever is greater) will be charged.

Payments

Payment for services rendered is usually requested in the form of cash or bank draft. Invoicing is available at 30 day terms to government departments or for contracted / ongoing services provided to corporate clients.

Cancelation

Cancellation requests must be made by email or certified mail. Cancellation fees will apply when bookings are cancelled or postponed within 30 days of the scheduled move date. An administrative fee of $75 will apply if a booking for a move is cancelled within 30 days of the scheduled move date. A cancellation fee equal to half of the minimum charge will apply if a booking for a move is cancelled within 10 days of a scheduled move date. The full minimum charge will apply for any cancellation made within 48 hours of the scheduled start time of the move. Cancellation fees may be fully or partially waived, at the discretion of management, in cases where the customer is rescheduling their move for a later date.
